In other news..
I am tentatively planning to move this blog over to Tumblr. I really like the functionality of Tumblr over Blogger, and it sounds like it will give me the ability to upload videos (e.g. simfile preview videos).
Tumblr is also a better site for social networking. You'll be able to share my posts on your own tumblr, and I can keep up with my followers as well.
'ayu trance 4' will be my last simfile until I make the official move. I'll keep this blog here, but new simfiles will be updated on the tumblr site from hence forth.
I'll let you all know if and when it happens!
Until that day..

In 2003, I released "Cyber TRANCE presents ayu trance 2". It was possibly the longest simfile at the time, clocking in at 36 minutes and 44 seconds. It was an ambition that I thought of spontaneously. I asked myself, "Why not?"
I was quite surprised at how much popularity it garnered. Its success encouraged me to develop more megamixes down the road, including the 'ParaParaParadise Non-Stop Megamix', 'Cyber TRANCE presents J-TRANCE', and a fan-made mix of 'ayu trance 3'.
I am dubbing this as the follow up to 'ayu trance 2'.
'ayu trance 4' is not meant to be more challenging than 'ayu trance 2'. I designed the steps as if I were designing 12 simfiles, seamlessly stringed together. They would play out great as separate simfiles, but still remain cohesive in one megamix. Think of it as a playing a non-stop course, but without the abrupt transitions between songs.
There are no speed ups this time around. None of songs really call for speed ups, though there are a few slow downs.
Each song has its own background to maintain visual contrast. Staring at one background for 29 minutes really makes one zone out.
By popular demand, I may do a few excerpts from the megamix as standalone files. I may put up a poll in the next week if there seems to be enough demand.
Feedback is always welcome. Have fun!
Chris
